For AR Kids:
For AR Kids is a coalition of community groups, educators, parents, students, and other education advocates who have come together to make sure every Arkansas student has access to the high-quality education they deserve.
The Arkansas Educational Rights Amendment is a ballot measure that would ensure all Arkansas students have access to a high-quality education. It would strengthen opportunities for students in 3 ways:
Create free, voluntary access to 4 of the most powerful, proven boosts to learning:
a. PreK for 3 and 4 year olds
b. Programs for after school and summer
c. Education support for students living in poverty
d. Quality special education
Establish minimum academic requirements (for subjects like reading and math) for Arkansas schools
Require all schools that accept state taxpayer funds to follow the same rules and standards
AUGUST 2026 UPDATE:
The For AR Kids coalition did not collect the required 91,000 valid signatures by the July 3, 2026 deadline, to put the Arkansas Educational Rights Amendment on the November 2026 ballot for Arkansas voters to have a say.
Now we look ahead to the 2027 general session, with our focus on continued legislative advocacy and community outreach.
